Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions?
You're not alone. Here are some of the most common questions clients ask about how I work, what I offer, and what to expect. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out directly.
Q: Why don’t you list the prices for your services on the website?

A: Every project is different and requires a tailored level of service. I work with a range of budgets and will provide a custom quote after our initial discussion based on your goals, priorities, and scope of work.
Q: Do you stamp drawings or provide building permits?
A: I’m a licensed architect and happy to advise on design and feasibility, but I do not currently provide stamped drawings or full permitting services.
Q: Can you recommend a contractor for me?
A: While I don’t work directly with specific contractors, I can help you evaluate proposals or walk through the pros and cons of bids you’ve received.
Q: Is this wall load-bearing?
A: Possibly. We can make early assumptions, but a licensed Structural Engineer will need to confirm. I’m happy to recommend someone for a structural analysis to assess any constraints.
Q: What do I need to get started?
A: At minimum, you’ll need a general idea of what you want to achieve. If you already have existing floor plans or photos, even better - but we can begin from scratch if needed.
Q: What if I don’t have floor plans of my home?
A: You can either provide a basic hand sketch with dimensions, or I offer a site visit service to document the existing conditions for an additional fee.
Q: What exactly do I get when I hire you?
A: Depending on the service, you may receive schematic floor plans, interior elevations, conceptual 3D models, or written guidance—all clearly outlined before we begin
Q: What format are the drawings and models delivered in?
A: PDF files are standard. DWG files (for CAD) or SketchUp files can be provided upon request for an additional fee.
Q: Do you offer full-service architecture or construction documents?
A: I specialize in early-phase design support, planning, and homeowner guidance - not full architectural or engineering packages.
Q: What is a conceptual 3D model?
A: It’s a non-photorealistic 3D visualization created from your floor plans and elevations, helpful for understanding space and layout before moving forward.
Q: Can you help me decide what to renovate or prioritize?
A: Absolutely. My services are tailored to help you make informed decisions about layout changes, budget trade-offs, and long-term planning.
Q: Can I hire you just to talk through ideas?
A: Yes - sometimes a single consultation is all you need. I offer a la carte guidance without requiring you to commit to a full design process.
