Hi, I'm Chris!

I am a licensed Architect in the state of Maryland with over a decade of experience across retail, office, residential, and multi-family projects. Raised in Howard County and a University of Maryland graduate, I now live in Montgomery County with my wife (who I met at UMD) and our two kids.

My career began at a small DC firm, where I learned how hard it can be to balance client needs with limited resources. I saw firsthand how many projects can’t afford full architectural services, even though they’d clearly benefit from expert guidance. After gaining large-scale development experience at a national firm, I shifted focus to helping everyday homeowners - leading to the launch of Christopher Alexander Design Solutions.

Through CADS, I offer tailored services that help homeowners plan and visualize renovations - without overcomplicating the process. From big-picture priorities to more detailed drafting and even conceptual 3D modeling, my goal is to make good design accessible, practical, and personal.
